Muslims love and respect their holy book. The word Qu’ran means ‘recitation’. This is important in two ways:

The teachings of the Qu’ran
The teachings of the Qu’ran guide every Muslim. They tell them how to live day by day as they submit themselves to Allah. They also explain how they can prepare for judgement day. It tell them to:
- Share their wealth and knowledge
- To treat every human being with respect
- Not to engage in any activities, such as drinking alcohol or taking drugs, as these will damage the mind.
- The Qu’ran contains stories about the many great prophets of the past, including Abraham, Joseph, Jesus and Moses.
